How did it all start? Mitsakos spent her childhood shuttling between her New England home, the Caribbean and Europe - making contacts along the way, connecting people with their counterparts and opening doors full of opportunities.

At an early age, this ingrained wanderlust led her to Antigua, where she was the first-ever Director of Corporate Communications for Elite Island Resorts, responsible for spearheading the company's communications efforts in the U.S., Canada and the U.K. She quickly moved up the ranks and was not only handling communications, but the orchestration of hotel openings, while immersing herself in every aspect of the tourism industry. She then launched a series of agencies, most recently Andria Mitsakos Public Relations (AMPR) in 2003. By capitalizing on the ‘boutique agency’ trend, she created the industry’s leading travel and lifestyle communications agency, with offices across the globe.
